For fear of sounding like a right leftie this evening, this essay should be interesting.

I like John Pilger. He seems to be able to put across the point of "You know they're fooling you, right??" without seeming like somebody who will only see it from one side.

Interesting how 147 deaths become 25... frown

Grim, makes you wonder if there's any point watching the news.

The most thought provoking piece of TV I've watched in a long time.

Never thought I'd say that about something on ITV

It usually gets a little awkward when you see the things done 'in our name'. Not seen it yet, got it plussed, this is for tonight.

edit, he has a brilliant voice, like an Attenborough.

In conjunction with http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/4863196/Ton...

Oh, I know; it's always transpired but under the auspices of the much vaunted Christianity-led, conviction politicking, the nausea is both palpable and irrepressible.

His earnings from consultancy work will add to the £4.6 million advance he was paid for his memoirs, £2.5 million from advisory roles with JPMorgan Chase and Zurich Financial Services and speaking fees of around £157,000 per lecture.
He is getting paid millions for giving advice to the banking system? I didn't know he was a financial genius as well as everything else!

I guess these would be the backhanders that he gets for screwing over a country..I can't believe he has the balls to still live here.

I can't believe he hasn't been locked up yet!!

He's giving advice to banks after his policies and those of his party helped ruin the nations economy.

He's the UN's peace envoy to the middle east after starting an illegal war there?

The entire world is fked up IMO.

There were scenes in that programme last night that left me feeling very cold. frown

Finally watched it.
Most journalists aren't really journalists are they? Just government/army mouthpieces. Makes me think of the current wikileaks situation.

Sad to see how civilian causalities just keep going up as a percentage, and that Nixon want to nuke the Vietnamese.

Just watched it on ITV iplayer thing. I have to say it is the most truthful bit of TV, I have seen on mainstream TV in a long time. Although the rabbit hole does go alot deeper.

This year, with the exception of a bit of rugby in the pub, the number of times I've watched a TV I could count on one hand.

Just make sure you watch it. I've just watched it and it's one of the few programs I have seen that left me feeling genuinely angry. We have been lied to, we continue to be lied to, it's a real eye opener and leaves you feeling angry and a bit stupid for believing what the media and governments have told us. Big Brother is controlling us.

I might not have a TV, but I do have this legal licence-free link.

Nothing in that has altered my opinion that large chunks of our Government, elected and established, belong in jail.

...the chunks may however have got larger.

I watched this last night on ITV player. Very emotive yet factual (rare for jounralism!), nearly boiled inside when it showed the chopper gunning down civilians.

Soldier on the groud : "Need an evac for 2 wounded children"
Whoever makes this decision: "They shouldn't have brought thier kids to a battle"

They were blatantly civvies FFS made me so angry.

That wasn't war, that was murder.
