Just spotted this on the guide.

Mike and Ed track down some of the cars from past series to see how they are doing etc.

Might be worth tuning in for if nothing else takes your fancy.

Cheers for the heads up. They were both at the MPH show in Brum advertising the `Wheeler Dealer Warranty`.

Off topic - Much respect for the man as he spent 6 months in Afghan. Anyone know where I can watch the series online?

I'm a bit confused here (not difficult).

I thought a new series of normal Wheeler Dealers had just started, starting with the original Elan last week. Is it running alongside this 'revisited' series?

That was the last episode of that series. It started with a Bond Bug.

Wheeler Dealer warranty you say? Oh dear, from the WD website, they can't even spell their own url correctly. Or make any sense.

Thought it was a bit crap really, just them re showing the make over process then a little bit at the end with the current owner.

It would be better to feature 2 cars each episode.

yes

Under ten minutes of new stuff tagged onto the end of a re-showing of the original show. Poor.

I loved it when Mike asked the guy where he had got it from and the owner said he'd bought it off someone locally. If they are going to do that for all of the "revisited" series then they are going to have a few liars!

Otherwise it would be "I bought it off ebay/AutoTrader/Pistonheads where you had it advertised Mike, after you filmed the soundman/producer/passer-by/production tea lady pretending they bought it".

The new wheels on that jeep looked like they were scraping the arches.

Nice enough program. Can't beat motoring shows on TV.

How short are the series! I thought the revisited episode would encompass 5 or 6 of their projects.

Disappointed.

Against my better judgement I watched the last five minutes of the programme where they turned a scabby old VW builder's van into a camper. Well, I say 'camper' but it was actually a scabby builder's van wrap in sticky-backed plastic and toshed out with a bare plywood interior, bare plywood 'furniture' (tenuous use of the word) and astroturf for carpet. I struggled a bit to uderstand through all the "wiv"s, "levver"s and bits that I think were said to be "lahhvurly" but I'm pretty sure they totalled the cost at £4000. Clearly nobody was stupid enough to buy the thing so Ed China got it for £1500. Eh?

Oh, and in the final tally there was £1000 for a vinyl rack. Now I'd only seen five minutes of the programme but couldn't spot anything even close to a rack on the thing and certainly not one made of vinyl. The gurning cockney even said it, "A fahsahnd pahns fer the vinyl rack". Turned out to be vinyl wrap.

Twunts.

Did they track most of the cars down to the production studio car park?

Thanks for that insightful review.

If you don't like it watch something else. It is mindless entertainment, the show would be extremely boring if they filmed Ed taking 2 days to Paint the vehicle.

It is TV entertainment, with the truth stretched for viewing.
