If any of the 'needies' get any money, it'll probably be well deserved for putting on a sufficiently convincing act that they believe that this person 'has just moved to the area and is filming a documnatary about finding work/settling in etc'.

It's certainly not what it used to be, but there have been a few good episodes - I liked the one where the Millionaire gave the blind chap a season ticket for Rangers, for example.

I think they've run out of genuine 'Millionaires', and whilst the candidates that are on now are psossibly technically 'Millionaires', they're on the show for the glory and in reality don't have a lot of money, hence the £2,000 here, £5,000 there.

The first one this weekend could be of interest to the Pistonheads brigade as it features the guy who runs sunshine.co.uk - the sponsor from the BTCC team

Eh?! Isn't that like giving a deaf bloke tickets to a concert? confused

A friend of mine is due on it, he's not a millionnaire and far from it. His Dad is.

It's a joke to be quite honest.

I reckon 2 out of the total I have watched were genuine. Rest a bunch of publicity seeking w******s with nothing to offer society.

hehe

On the face of it, it does sound like a cruel gift.

The blind bloke was a massive Rangers fan prior to going blind, and loved the atmosphere of the game etc.

A deaf bloke would probably still enjoy a Katherine Jenkins concert for example (or something 'showy' like Take That's Circus)

He would enjoy it more than I would.

BUMP!

First episode and a new twist on the cover story - works in a travel agency but trying out photo journalism. I guess that the others in the story will have other different cover stories as opposed to the old well used cover story.

The council bloke was pretty special fixing scrap bikes out of his own pocket & returning lost wallets and purses (with £5 in the purses!) funded out of his own pocket. And the one lady said he got her a washing machine so I wonder if that was scraped and he got he fixed. The he turns down £15k!

Not that the other people weren't worthy but he stood out for me.
