Looks like they are going to try and recreate parts of the ship in the Titanic berth at Harland & Wolf Belfast, using original techniques.

Wonder if they use sub-standard iron?

They are going to make two, a good one and a rubbish one, then sink the rubbish one on purpose and claim the insurance money. The illuminati told me so.

I don't see the point of this. James Cameron painstakingly and accurately reproduced many of the ship interiors using original materials and craftsmanship for the film "Titanic". Much of it by the original companies. Why do it again?

Cameron's Titanic set was dismantled, broken up and scrapped. The ship anyway wasn't full scale and the ship wasn't built like the Titanic it was just a film set to house the interior sets and just visually look like the Titanic. They are building part of the hull in original form along with other parts to keep on this programme as part of the Belfast dock area. Probably to go with the Nomadic restoration and centenary year in 2012.

Would love to visit Forgemasters and see the place in action. One of the few times that awesome describes the scale and size of work being carried out there.

Very interesting program. Very sad we don't have the industries and trades anymore and that 'grafting' culture.

I grew up in Sunderland so appriciate the mining and ship building - more so the communities it created.

I want to play in a steelworks - they should do Experience Days or something!

Think the missus and I may wander over to Netherton and see the anchor.

Looking forward to the rest of the series.
