Woohoo smile

It's GOT to be better than the 4 suspiciously bad straight to DVD films that were done...

Not a fan of Futurama but finding the film 'Benders Big Score...' I did start to watch some of the series but found them very hit and miss.

Edit: AND I found this after the Simpsons movie and to be honest I think the wrong one went straight to DVD.

The Simpsons movie was an environmental message from start to finish and pretty annoying as a result.

The Futurama films though were just odd - The first one was good, but went downhill from there - The series far better so.

Me, I hope we see more of this fella:

I used to really enjoy it, but I'm sad to say I watched some episodes teh otehr day and it just wasn't as funny anymore frown Family Guy has ruined cartoon comedy for me by being too good biggrin

Well as you can see I'm quite pleased. But with the emphesis on quite....

The DVDs started off okay, then became very weird, then became hopeless and began to push Groenings green agenda.

Fingers crossed any new series will be better, otherwise to quote Leela "they'll Wang Chung,"

Holy thread resurrection Batman - It saves me creating a new thread I suppose.

I've just watched the latest Futurama from Season 6 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Futurama_Holiday_... - It's rubbish. A great steaming pile of Al Gore inspired, environmentalist, stty nonsense.

The rest of the episodes from the season struggled but were ok (some elements of real comedy), but this episode really takes the biscuit of those "20 minutes of my life I want back".

I'll watch the next one and if it doesn't improve, I'll go back to seasons 1 to 3 when it was in its prime.

It has declined faster than the Simpsons did (which, having watched one recently, is also pretty poor writing).

they havent been as crisp as they should be...

the problem with the movies was that they also had to do it so it could be chopped up into smaller episodes so linking one to another was string thin at best

That does not sound good. However there is a reason for it, Al Gore's daughter is now one of the script writers. rolleyes
