In the series 7 episode 'I dream of Jesus' the one with B B B B BIRD BIRD BIRD BIRD BIRD IS THE WORD, DON'T YOU KNOW ABOUT THE BIRD.......?

When Stewie and Brian smash-up the Surfin Bird record what exactly are they parodying? It sounds like NWA playing, but is a music video or a scene from a film?

I've seen it but can't work out what it was and it's annoying me now.

Is it Pulp Fiction/Reservoir Dogs reference? Just a thought, I can't remember very well how the scene went...

It's from Office Space where they smash up the printer.

Which is in turn, a nod to the (very NSWF) baseball bat scene in Casino...

That's one of the things I love about Family Guy - the timing. The recent Stephen King trailers are a good example. In the Misery one, Stewie's Kathy Bates and Brian is the writer.

"If I let you go now, you'll just run to the police, tell them I kidnapped you, held you hostage and interfered with you while you slept"

"No I won...wait, what?"

Ahhh Family Guy. Awesome tv at it's best.

I'm suprised it hasn't found it's way from BBC3 onto the "main" channels yet....

Is that scene/picture based on Casino (De Nero, Pesci etc)?

I always assumed so (see third post in this thread).

It was.

Originally it was Channel 4 but like South Park, Futurama and King of the Hill before it they killed it with a crap time slot and piss poor advertising.

How they managed to fk-up all 4 shows is unbelievable.

"I know lets push Hollyoaks and Big Brother over brilliant orignal prgramming so we can get rid of the viewer and kill off these pesky 'funny' programmes"

Shame really.

If they shoved Hollyoaks to a late night slot and let them all get their tits out it might be worth watching.

It also wasn't helped by the fact that Channel 4, once the bastions of all things sweary and "adult", cut it to absolute buggery.

The also do it to The Simpsons and Futurama, which just isn't the same without Bender saying "Bite my shiny metal ass!".
