Hi all,

I was just wondering what your favourite opening credits to a film are. Having recently seen Watchmen, I have to say I quite enjoyed the beginning, although that was largely in part to Bob Dylan's accompanying score. I think it's always nice when a film takes the time to make the credits more interesting than just a list of names. Lord of War, following the "life" of a single bullet, would be another...

I'll second the Lord of War one. Interesting, educational and like the tune too.

Ifd we expand this to opening scenes, I always thought the start of GoldenEye was very good - the bungy jump off the dam.

Bad Boys......nothing has set me up for a film better than that opening scene. "Wesley Snipes, Passenger 57"

Contact always impressed me, as the camera draws back through Space before emerging through a human eye...

Even better was being able to recreate it on the N64!

Watchmen. Best I've seen.

(The only other one I can think of right now is from Basic Instinct...which is worrying.)

This is pistonheads isn't it?

Surely it has to be the Italian job?

(ok, so I don't really like the idea of a lovely Muira being smashed up, but Matt Munro, the alps, the sound of the engine... cloud9 )
