Who can help me with this film

Ok as the tittle says need help with this film, saw it as a child 20yrs ago ish.
Cowboy film - but commedy, with as I remember 2 main lead roles. Maybe two convicts on the run but one big chap, one small.
The scene that sticks in my mind was them playing 'Rugby' with possibily bag of cash/loot and the big chap hitting mexicans on the top of the head with his hand and knocking them out ! Possibily in a stronghold/fort of some type after being caputured ?
Couuldn't be funner for a 10 -12 yr old.
I know I couldn't be more vague if I tried but here hoping that somebody can help ?
