Thought it was a pretty good movie about Cloughie at Derby County and Leeds. It's not just for people into sport, it's the story of his relationship with Peter Taylor. Parts of it were laughable (Billy Bremner) but others quite poignant. RIP Cloughie - a 'one off'!

Nostalgia.

If you're too young to remember, Clough was a legend. Forget your arrogant Mourinho and shouty Ferguson. Clough WAS the special one.
He took unfashionable teams to the top of the old Div. 1 and the European Cup.
Clough could get the best from his team and should have had the England job except the FA suits were afraid of him and his reputation.
More great quotes than probably anyone in the game and probably the first superstar manager.
If you are of the era, no doubt the film will transport you back to an age of big flares, Curly Wurlys and your dads Austin Cambridge.

Can't wait to see it.

I suppose they think its nice to have a film about a British subject instead of the same old Hollywood bks.

I'm going to see this film on Wednesday with my daughter. Can't wait. Cloughie was a legend. The best England manager we never had.

But, as far as I can understand, according to Cloughie's compatriots and family the film is a bag of ste, mostly made up.

The book was a disgrace.
If Clough, Taylor et al were still alive it would never have made it to print.

AFAIK the only principal character still alive is Johnny Giles who sued David Peace for libel and won.

Johnny Giles didn't come across at all well in the book.

Cloughie's autobiography is a good read - he was a very funny bloke!
