Just seen an advert for the new Red Dwarf, Return to Earth series. Anyone one know much about it? It is going to be much cop, or will it just be rubbish, with new actors and poor script? I have high hopes, but fear that I will end up disappointed.

One off 3 parter for easter, 2 episodes as per usual with 1 done without any scenery/special effects.

There was a thread about this a few months back.

IIRC part of the plot is that Rimmer, Cat and Crichton turn up at the Rovers on Coronation Street to persuade Lister that he's Lister and not Lloyd, following a MIB style memory wipe.

Isn't that quite close to the episode where the crew were attacked by a giant squid all thought/hallucinated that they were in a computer game?

Not any more. they cancelled the 'unplugged' one and made the Return To Earth jobby a three parter.

Mistake? Probably.

It's a love story across time, space, death, and reality.

But the important question is....

Wilma Flintstone, or Betty Rubble?

Surely watching anything with Chris Barrie in it is a form of torture?

Which reminds me of an awful joke that was on Breakfast this morning.

They were trying to sell the Flintstones to UAE television. Dubai don't want it, but Abu Dhabi do.
