all you could possibly ever want to know:

Be warned though - there are some seriously obsessed people on the forums. They even go so far as to freeze frame the programmes to catch all of the background information, and play the soundtracks backwards / slowed down to hear all of the slightly less audible words.

Why the hell did Jin and Ben not go back to 1977?
If Jack and the rest of them just transported mid air to 1977, why didn't they die with the fall?
Is Lock in 1977 or 2009?
What's Jack's dad all about?
How the hell in an orginisation as stringent as Darmah (Sp?) allow Sawyer to become head of security?
The list goes on.

Its all just a little too weird, and that was one heckuva weird (and relatively boring) episode last night.
Whats the deal with the statue on the island. That was hinted at the end of series 3 (?), and now the whole thing has been seen. Some sort of egyptian god of fertility? Whilst its there babies can be born, but later on (after its fall), they can't?
Yup, all weird.
Fringe is way easier to follow. Probably.

Jin did, Sun didnt. Not looking forward to the whole Jack/Kate/Sawyer/Juliet thing starting up again, get on with the smoke monster stuff and less of the romantic crap.
Surely.. LOST is all about Jobs for the boys..!
Kill someone off in one episode..
Kill a few more off in the next etc etc
Add a few in the next series..
Kill a few more off, write a few out of the storyline..
Go back to the beginning.
Create another series where there are Flashbacks and time travel..!
Everyone's back in employment..! Hoorah.

Seems that it can just be "switched on", but not even the slightest hint of an explanation of how it actually performs. But its definitely one of the cooler aspects of the island.

sure this has been done on here before but what are peoples theories on what the hell is going on?? i love this show but very confusing to say the least!
I was a fan until the third series, then it all got too bleddy stupid and carried away. I should have known it was going down the tubes when the magical mystery monster snatched the pilot from the crashed planes window in the first series, but I never.
And when they quizzed the French girl about it she told them "it is a defence mechanism" and they all said "oh, okay" and carried on their way.

I'm waiting for the whole thing on DVD.
I am presuming that 5 IS the last season and it will somehow come to a conclusion?
I thought the writers had written enough confusing stuff to last them seven. Though there is apparently a script in a 'break in case of cancellation' box in case they do get cancelled.I am presuming that 5 IS the last season and it will somehow come to a conclusion?
