I try to watch any and every car film but I'm not sure whether or not to give the rest of my sunday night over to this one.

It's alright!!

I don't think I've seen it all the way through yet, fell asleep both times!

I do remember there being a few funny moments, though!

shake and bake!

it's miles off anchorman in terms of ball-bouncingness, but it's still pretty funny... as the poll says, disengage brain and you'll enjoy smile

Yeah it's a good laugh, typical Will Ferrel humour and Jon C Reily is excellent in it as Cal Norton Jnr

Bit random in places but what the hell.

Also any engineer will appreciate the but were they are trying to get a knife out of Ricky's leg by jamming more implements in there, exactly how an engineer would think.

Shake & Bake!

No because The Departed is on ch4 at 10pm and you would miss the first 25 minutes.

Must see.

Loved the pre dinner speech and the "help me I'm on fire" scene had me in tears of laughter last time i saw it. Will try to watch if i can get SWMBO away from dancing on ice!

Absolute rubbish that I failed to reach the end of.

And I like Will Farrel...

About as funny as a barrel of dead babies. One of the most puerile, unfunny, forced, tedious, squirm inducing things I have ever seen despite a minor amount of rescue from Sacha Baron Cohen.

It is a good enough film, plenty of laughs and worth watching for the Nascar engine noises

Absolutely!

My favourite 2 movies would be Pans Labrynth (sp) & The Diving Bell & The Butterfly, both supperbly scripted, directed & acted films, nothing wrong with abit of brainless humour though!!

Nope. My brain doesn't turn that far off.

If it's aimed at the average NASCAR fan, I suspect it's perfectly judged.

It's alright, not a patch on anchorman though. never understood the shake n bake reference, how is that relevant to NASCAR?

Departed approximately 100 times better though...
