On BBC 3 now, a lot of sketches that seem to rely on schoolboy humour, sex and not very pleasant nudity

Kind of wondering why I switched over from Shameless, pretty much lowest common denominator humor:

A. Act Camp / Gay
B. Take the piss out of the fat bloke
C. Take the piss out of Ricky Gervais (see B)
D. goto A

What did you expect of the chubby fellow, he looks like the sort who would have been picked on at school.

The other one reminds me of that chap with the large round cardboard head with large eyes from the 80s.

they're milking their 15 minutes. TV is fickle - must make hay while the sun shines. He will make £1m+ from that series

It's been a while now! Gavin and Stacey has been around for over a year, and they've done ALOT of other stuff too smile

I like them personally.

A lot of these comic funny chappies are only as funny as their scriptwriters are inventive with new stuff. They have a long way to go before they are as crass as Little Britain in the USA though

James Corden (along with Ruth Jones) wrote the scripts to Gavin and Stacey, so I think he's pretty inventive.

Howver, having watched the show earlier I think you may be right!

I assume Ruth Jones did 99% of the writing on Gavin and Stacey, then.

It certainly isn't Corden's work.

Trust me, its not just you. A hateful gimp, infused with his own self importance and sense of wonderment at how funny and great he is. And he only has an automatic licence.

Totally unfunny, just like all the rest of the 'pedigree comedy'. I guess they just have good agents.

Really disappointed, G&S is awesome (And to their credit, they're good in that), but yeah, Ruth Jones definitely wrote that by herself!

Didn't he try to get in some birds pants by sending her a £2000 ring?

Horne & Corden,
Al Murray Multiple Personality Disorder,
Catherine Tate show,
Little Britain,
Katy Brand's big arse show,
Ruddy hell, it's Harry and Paul.

All terrible,

I think maybe the "sketch show" needs a long rest.
