I’m off work at the moment so been listening to LBC a bit. fking hell this bloke’s an absolute joke! Does anyone love the sound of his own voice more? jester

Literally pontificating every day about a different topic as if he’s the world’s foremost expert - no matter the subject matter. Unbelievable, the condescending tt.

Pretty accurate summary.

I can't listen to him.

My wife listens to Nick Ferrari and then switches to GHR immediately she hears his voice.

I think he just spent the entire first 1/2 hour of the show on a long monologue all about Iran / trump,/ illegal etc. Just spouting his own completely biased & unchallenged view.

Possibly the weirdest thing to criticise a radio presenter for. hehe

I only ever hear JoB on clips but he seems fine for that kind of role. It should be reasonably easy to deal with wholly unprepared and overconfident members of the public on a show like that, but he does seem to do his homework.

Just a thought - have you tried turning it off or listening to something else?

Do you think your hatred for him might somehow be caused by the fact you don't agree with his politics?

FWIW he's got the highest ratings on LBC.

He's a weapon's grade tosser. An absolute bell-end that will cut callers off, just to get his opinion across. wker.

Compared to some of the hosts LBC have on, you know Bojo's sister, Ferrari, etc etc JoB is top notch. And credit where credit is due, he deals fairly with those tossers that regularly phone in.
Then again, if your politics don't align with his (reasonably balanced), you'll obvious dislike or even hate him. biglaugh

I disagree with virtually everything he says. But, he's good at his job, is reasonable in debate and excellent at stirring rage bait. Obviously quite bright and knowledgeable.

His downside is he thinks his opinion is fact and he can be a bit keen with the "off" switch when it's not going his way. He's far too repetitive (can never get through a show without going on about Brexit) and as a result he's boring.

Overall in my opinion he definitely wouldn't be on the dinner party list. Way too obnoxious. So whenever I hear his voice I too exercise the "off" switch.

Quite like the mystery hour though.

I’m guessing he’s got over Brexit and the fact the majority who voted were in favour of it and whilst he disagrees with their viewpoint he will will respect their wishes; No?

I used to listen to him, diametrically opposed to him politically but it’s good to listen to other viewpoints and I was sometimes on the same page; then I think I remember him saying he sent one of his children to private school, the reason being that if evil Tory scum like Reese Mogg can have children in private education, he should be able to, or something along those lines. He just couldn’t say I’m wealthy enough, I want the absolute best for my children, even if other children aren’t afforded the same privilege. Lost any respect I had for them after that, pearl clutcher.

Talk Radio is very similar to LBC. Julia Hartley-Brewer is quite good in the breakfast slot but is just pipped by Nick Ferrari so I'm still mainly LBC and usually working when JOB comes on. If I'm in the car it's more music for me.

Didn't realise Jumbo O'Brien had a Youtube channel. Doesn't seem very popular.

Definitely not. Still goes on about it excessively and anyone that disagrees with any of his opinions is dismissed as an idiot. He'll degrade them with a cheap shot and then cut them off before they have a chance to properly respond. Many an individual has tried to take him on but with the tactics he uses they always lose.

Credit where credits due though he is very good at it.

I was a really big fan of his for a long time. Until maybe 18 months ago when I think he became worse

What annoyed me most was his interruption of callers. I played a game often to see how long it would take him and usually it was within about 10 seconds.

I also got sick of just him talking for 5+ minutes without calls

Oddly and surprisingly I really like Nick Ferrari now. I think he's mostly mellowed out and is much easier to listen to. I've listened for years to him too, and enjoy it more now than before

..
Just to add I think he's good, I just wish he'd tone it down a bit and let callers speak more. Politically, I'm very liberal, left wing maybe (whatever that means now!) but don't support any party more than another

I think he's ace. He was right about Brexit, right about Trump and right about the Tories and Reform.
Anyone who disagrees with him is welcome to phone in and challenge him, but he'll often hold up a mirror that callers get uncomfortable with and inevitably flounce off.

Seconded. He's every right to cut off the people who phone in when it's clear they are just idiots without two brain cells to rub together.
