Bit of an odd one this...Starts Friday 17 July 2026 on BBC1

It’s Sue’s worst nightmare - an overly attentive, socially inept, second-hand robot carer. But maybe this droid has its uses... Starring Diane Morgan and Sue Johnston.

I watched first episode and nothing makes me want to continue. I did not laugh once , I actually asked my wife 10 mins in if it was a comedy.
I rate it as poor.
I've not seem it yet, but Diane Morgan's stuff does take a bit of getting into. I hated Mandy when I first saw it, but love it now. Not an all time classic but quite amusing. I rate it as poor.
Going to give it a go, review here seems to rate it: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2026/jul/...

Yup, watched a few episodes now and enjoying it. Entertaining with some giggles and laughs rather than constant side splitters.
Agreed. I've done four episodes so far. Think it's really good. Only thing slowing down my progress is I'm also monstering through Clarkson's Farm, having been a latecomer to that!I've just watched the first one and whilst I didnt think it was brilliant, for some reason the discussion between the 2 androids in the shop really made me laugh out loud. That bit just seemed to get the humour just right.
And as someone who in recent years has cared for and lost 2 parents, it was quite poignant at the end of Ep1.

We quite enjoyed for what it was, not hilarous but well made in terms of the way Sue and Linda bonded. I just can't stand Paul Ready, he always plays these wet, pathetic types who I cannot find one shred of sympathy for, it must be a bit disspirating to be the go to guy when they need a t

Not always. Utopia, C4, 2013.

Chilli, sand, bleach, a spoon.

I've watched Ann Droid ep1, as above, I don't think it will be Motherland level, and the androids are a version of the ones in the Humans C4 series, but for an episode setting things up, and recognising some of the Motherland/Mandy regulars, it was fine.
