Along the lines of:

Steed, Purdey & Gambit... Emma Peel.
Bodie & Doyle
Freddie Spender
Derek Trotter etc
Arthur Daley & Terry McCann.
Richard Bouquet.
Frank Spencer

Starsky & Hutch
Duke Boys & Boss Hogg.
Frank Bullitt.
Crockett & Tubbs.
Thomas Magnum.

You get the drift.

Richard Bucket would be in a Skoda Octavia estate, and Onslow would still have the Mk4 Cortina.

Those Duke boys leaping over a broken bridge in an EV... might be bit of a heavy landing.

They're fictional characters, so if they weren't killed in their fictional worlds, they're still alive.

Arthur Daley would be wafting around in a 10-15 year old Conti GT.

Terry is a difficult one, originally he was supposed to be driving the mark 2 Escort with the X pack behind him in the opening credits but they thought it was too good a car at the time for him to afford, barely got a living wage, always cash in hand etc so he got the Mk 2 Capri which became a mk 1 in series 2 on the mk 2 plates.

Duke boys in a modern Challenger or Mustang? Not new but recent.

Films and TV have a habit, especially the US, of shoeing in anachronistic cars into the narrative, so you have characters in modern setting films like Thelma and Louise, Rainman, 48 Hours, The Morning After and Uncle Buck all driving around in monstrous land barges from the 50s-70s. The nearest UK equivalent would be Morse in his beloved Jag, or Shoestring in a Hillman Hunter.

In the late 80s the original Rover 216 saloon was still a bit posh wasn't it? A step up from an Orion or Cavalier. Probably a BMW 3 series equivalent today.

Morse yes, and Bergerac too. However Shoestring's Hunter was probably only about 7 years old when it was on screen, and the orange Cortina estate even newer.

Back to the question, Richard De Vere in To The Manor Born would today be in a Mansory Bentayga whilst Audrey would be in the chrome bumper Corniche convertible that De Verre had in the original series.

Something like this might suit to replace Derek Trotter's Reliant Regal.

Spender - RS3 or Golf R
Dukes of Hazard - Charger or Challenger Hellcat
The Professionals - Impreza WRX STi & M2
Richard & Hyacinth - Hyundai i20, and a C-Max for Onslow.
Minder - Old Conti GT for Daley and for Terry an ASBO orange Focus ST
Bullitt - No change, it's untouchable.
Starsky & Hutch - Toughie as what these days is as OTT as that. Some form of Dark Horse Mustang maybe?
Morse - S Type with a V8.
Crockett and Tubbs - Ferrari Luce, with the way the world is 🤮
Magnum - Ferrari 488 (I'm not a fan of the 296)
