Ewan McGregor, Anne Hathaway, other people who will probably be eaten.
A 'cosmic event' transports a neighbourhood to somewhere else, a somewhere else where there are dinosaurs. JJ Abrams and Bad Robot are involved, so of course there are there are theories that it's Cloverfield universe related. The film was formerly called Flowervale Street (Clover is a flower, a vale is usually grassy, like a field, OMG it's Cloverfield).
This one does look good though, release date in August.

I saw it last week at the Odeon Limitless preview, I'm going again tomorrow with my dad.
I liked it, it's very Spielberg with the 80's setting, kids on bikes etc. Most of the dinos are feathered (some of them VERY feathered)... the humping Brachiosauruses, I like that. For the 12 rating I think it's close to being a 15, some things that happen are pretty full on.
Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor were both good as the parents, I'm going to spoiler tag things now... I do think that they were acting in different films though, Hathaway was giving it 100% as the scared protective mum, McGregor was a few steps away from Hal in Malcolm In The Middle. Not necessarily saying that as a negative, but they were very different characters.
The ending... There's a whole thing about timelines, time travel and paradoxes going on, and I'm not sure which rules the film is playing by. The 5 of them (including the neighbour girl) are sent back to dino time, 4 of them make it back through the portals to 20 minutes before the blip, up in the hills. Mum orders a pizza to get pre blip dad with them, and apparently the neighbour and some others. Then they put the polaroid of the dad posing in front of the dinos on the wall, which didn't happen to this dad. Then at the BBQ there are 2 neighbour girls (I didn't spot this when I saw it, I read up afterwards on other reviews, I'll look out for it tomorrow night). Apparently everyone is fine with there being 2 versions of the neighbour girl. Weird.
It's a good fun film though, 7.5 bright lights / 10 dogs.

I enjoyed it too, felt very early Spielberg/Twilight Zone.
I laughed at the Dinostyle humping
One thing I did question for the ending family 1 makes it back minus Ewan but then family 2 are reset, so wouldn't they make it out again with the same actions as family 1 and rinse and repeat on loop?
Unless I interpreted it incorrectly?

I really liked it, but disappointing to find out it's pretty heavily censored compared to the USA version in order to get the 12A rating.
the scene where Ewan gets eaten, just before when he's thrown to the ground by the Dino in the uncut version he's very clearly minus a leg screaming in agony whereas in the UK cut he has minor cuts on his leg!
Slight tangent, the 15 rating is rubbish and should be rejigged so that you can take 12- 15 year olds with parental supervision. It sucks that that rating prevented me seeing the Odyssey with my 13 Yr old Son for eg.

I didn't know that, but I have seen a few American reviews and videos talking about that, but I thought I must have misremembered it.
