First episode aired last night and all 4 episodes currently available on ItvX.

Based on the true story of the black cab driver John Worboys who sexually assaulted a number of young women.

It's quite good in my opinion.

I've just got the final episode to watch and I'm still of the opinion it is very good, although a bit disturbing especially with the portrayed attitude of the police.

Daniel Mays is brilliant as the sinister Worboys.

But, after watching the first episode, I found the other main characters pretty wooden.
Gritty, but lacking emotion & a rather laid back reactions to the event.
Episodes two... a lot better.

We binge watched it over two nights and generally enjoyed it.

At the time Warboys was operative my wife was going out drinking with her mates in London fairly frequently, they were very aware of there being a dodgy cabbie about and never travelled solo in a black cab.

Having watched the final episode last night covering the legal challenge to Warboys' parole, with David Gauke revoking it as Justice Secretary I was left wondering how accurately they handled the Carrie Symonds/Johnson level of influence.

It was played in the scene as if Symonds just gave Gauke a copy of The Times with a piece she wrote in it and that was it, but my understanding is that she got Michael Gove to lean heavily on Gauke, as one is able to do when having an extra-marital affair with the then PM.

I felt that aspect was somewhat glossed over and, were it not for accident of circumstances as to who Carrie Symonds ended up becoming, then Warboys would probably out by now.

A classic case of "it's not what you know but who you know".

Daniel Mays is great in a lot of stuff. I'll have to give this a try.

Highlights the police failures, manage by targets and people manage the targets.
Did not realise Carrie Johnson (nee Symonds) was one of the victims.
