Is there a thread on this already? I couldn't find it if there was.

What a dreadful drama, even for ITV's standards. The writing is so bad there's plot holes large enough to be seen from space and the seemingly competent head of security for the American embassy is incompetent beyond belief. 4 murders in the space of an hour, a killer on the loose but he's on the phone to the lass he did his army training with talking about how both their mothers died whilst they were young.

The cast is of course as diverse as it can be. The women all come across as incredibly competent of course whilst the men all come across as incompetent aholes. The one who inexplicably seems the most competent in the whole programme and has all the answers is an overweight white woman in a wheelchair.

It's more akin to a comedy and if I watched it again with that mindset I'd probably laugh.

First series was equally as bad, although I watched it through, I’m passing on series 2

It is, and was, an absolute load of old wk in the end!
I don’t know how and why they have to make such dramas so utterly unrealistic, fanciful and implausible.

And the woeful incompetence of everyone involved in such incredibly important jobs is mind boggling.

And the altimeter range adjustment of 30,000 ft…! Max I’ve ever seen is less than a third of that and normally it’d be 2 or 3k feet.

Just overacting codswallop the whole thing, like so many other modern police / security dramas.

S2 was much better than the admittedly low bar of S1 but yes, both were what I call enjoyable nonsense. Manufactured jeopardy after manufactured jeopardy similar to an old series like Dick Barton, special agent. The acting seemed better S2 but again, S1 was dreadful so not a huge bar to clear...

Can't wait for the next season. I think they will all get trapped in a 24hr supermarket and make unfeasible weapons from the assorted pastries and fruit and veg...

Pretty poor but watched season 1 and 2. Very silly storylines but so far fetched it's funny.

Why couldn’t they just throw the bomb out of the plane?

Because it would’ve incinerated the plot?
