There is a huge watching F1 using a VPN thread which I have used successfully.

I wondered if there was a similar system for Dakar, with ought signing-up for a year of Discovery plus (which we already have) in order to get TNT Sports. We don't watch any other sport.

Thanks

I am watching this tread with much interest - as I am pissed of that I cannot watch Dakar this year. I had not thought about it being hidden behind a paywall at all. Always been on Eurosport's (only time I really watched Eurosports as well and had not realised it had disappeared)

So wondering how to watch for free too

Sadly, I just end up watching the highlights on You Tube each year. However, the commentary makes it worthwhile

I have to say, if you're thinking of paying for a TNTsports subscription for this, don't bother. You get the same stage coverage (or more) on the short YT highlights and then a load of dull interviews and 'features' to pad it out to an hour.

Utter tosh.

We have TNTSports because I watch the skiing and WEC and my wife likes to watch cycle racing, but the coverage they get of the 'Dakar' (Rihad?) Is rubbish

Tend to agree.

I suspect TNT have zero input to the show and just buy a pre-made package to fill a slot. I'd still rather have it than not though.

As for "Dakar" in Saudi. No real problem to me. Dakar is not safe anymore for reasons other than sand dunes. I suspect the event will move around a few more times in the next decade or 2
