Rather than waste any more time trying to find a contact phone number for Sky online I thought it would be a lot quicker to ask here. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried googling "contact phone number for Sky" that gives you a number.

Yes it gives me 0333 759 4830, but when you dig into that one a bit more it sounds just as frustrating as trying to use the Virtual Assistant. I'll try that if I have to but was just checking to see if any PHers have a better contact.

Got the same issue with Virgin media - I need the box removing but the previous house owner had the account, so I go round the automated system in circles.

These outfits really are appalling, I wish there was more choice to make it harder for them to get away with their refusal to speak to customers.

Yet another number!! That's not on Lancslad's list. Why in God's name don't they put these numbers on their own website.

I had similar problems getting hold of someone in Virgin Media after one of their contractors dug a hole outside my house & didn’t fill it in properly. One of their call handlers suggested that I restart my router to fix it!
Try to get hold of the neighbour relations team if you can, they deal with issues involving non-customers and in my case had the contractor back patching the street within days.

There we are, that 3497 number was the one. Saved myself £15 a month as I was out of contract but even before that happened the blooming price had been creeping up every month. It had grown from £37.50 this time last year to £63. Now down to £48 for the basic Signature package but including Netflix at £4.50 and HD at £8 (!).
Thanks to all for your help, especially coffeekid and lancs lad. beer
