First of the 6 episodes aired last night, with the second airing tonight. Not sure on some the casting and their dodgy accents but based on the first episode it looks as though it's going to be good.

Looks as though the BBC are releasing each episode on iPlayer on the day it airs as opposed to all episodes being available to binge.

I thought it was good, shame it’s released weekly. The Guardian gave it a poor review which I thought was undeserved.

I'm guessing this is going for a general all round dramatisation but it'll be compared to "Lockerbie A Search For Truth" which was more focused on the account/campaigning of an individual perspective.

Be interesting if it sways a similar way to the earlier programme regarding the who, why, and whether the USA had a hand in steering things politically.

While I’m sure it may be very good, having seen less than 6 months ago, "Lockerbie A Search For Truth” which IMO was very well done, I can’t see the point of airing this.

Being based on a factual event, I doubt it’s got anything new to bring to the table, it certainly runs the risk of comparison.

“Lockerbie” benefited from the passage of time, peoples recollection being a bit hazy. I doubt (may be wrong) dramatization will somehow make this more involving.

Agree, and raking over the whole thing once again for those who suffered loss, injury or stress.

I didn't like the way they portrayed the motorists on the A74. It was stupid, innacurate and insulting. Nobody behaves like that when the traffic stops and backs up for a breakdown or accident, let alone under those circumstances. I bailed right there.

Agreed, not sure what can be added by telling the story again.

surprising how often 2 tv series or films come out within months of each other on same/similar subjects i m imagine money and time already invested so companies have no choice but to put out second version like antz/a bugs life lol
