6 part drama in the world of witness protection with large injection of police corruption. Shades of Line of Duty.
Very gripping, very enjoyable, recommended.

Yes, very good. Just finished episode 5. Plenty of layers, twists and turns to keep you guessing. Shame there are only 6 episodes.

I've now finished it and also thought it was rather good, although others might not agree, but it could have been better if someone else had played the lead role. As good an actor that Siobhan Finnegan is, I just don't think this role suited her.

Agreed, sex scenes almost as bad as watching you own Mum. Just me? Ok. laugh

I too finished it last night. Apart from the usual plot holes, like expert marksmen that can't shoot, it was very enjoyable. Unlike some, I thought the lead actress played the part well. A good mix of smart but dumb, strong but vunerable etc.

Enjoyed it, but felt the ending was a bit 'meh'.

Yep, the ending was poor, unless they are lining up a second series

I seem to be in a minority as found it a bit meh. Dappy lead almost pensioner runs around the place hunting organised crime and MI5. Way too many plot holes. Thankfully only 6 episodes.

I was thinking it was left a bit open.

She did hint at a fresh start on the phone, so second series on the cards I guess.

As a proud northerner, I do take exception at these actors who play leading roles as if its their first read-through of the script. No facial, or vocal expression, just a dull flat monotone delivery.

See The Bay for a very similar lacklustre performance. Is Coronation Street the common denominator?

Apart from that rant, Protection was quite a good plot, The Bay less so.

Just finished the latest season of The Bay having enjoyed the previous ones. Still quite like it.

This is stretching credibility too far, the idea that any person of the ‘leading ladies’ age would be playing an active role in front line policing/protection is laughable.

That’s before we consider

She looks a similar age as her father, unlikely to be a mother of a young daughter.
The queue of hunks, looking forward sampling her delights.
Despite a gaff swarming with plod, only ‘she’ notices the fellow protection officer’s car.
The best ‘safe house’ is her family’s house.

I’m aware there is currently a problem recruiting people of a working age in the North; I didn’t know this was afflicting the acting industry.
