Starts tonight on BBC One, I was a big fan of the first series so hope this doesn't disappoint

We watched series one and I disliked it,

So I thought I'd give series 2 a go - I've only watched the first episode .....

.... more of the same I thought and I won't watch any more.

Rylance is totally miscast as Cromwell (and he only has one facial expression).

Damian Lewis gives a very theatrical acTOry performance as Henry.

The INCESENT tracking shots of people's backs walking somewhere are so tiresome .

The wigs (says my ex TV makeup designer wife ) are awful.

The music is generally intrusive (you shouldn't notice good music).

The choice of camera lenses for most interiors .........

I could go on biggrin.

......

This may have been driven by the lighting. There was a lot of fuss made about the first series shooting by candlelight which forced the use of certain lenses & they may have continued this:

More annoying for me was the appallingly unsteady camera work especially in some close ups & two shots where the actor's head was constantly bobbing around in the frame.

How does Mark Rylance get any work, he’s so wooden.

I don't recognise these comments at all. I've just finished the first series of Wolf Hall having previously missed it, and think it's one of the best dramas ever made (really). Mark Rylance is giving an actor masterclass, and the scenes with Anton Lesser are beautfiful.

No need to take my word for it, it's won a shedload of awards ( see wiki), had great critical reviews and even has a 98% score on rotten tomatoes if you prefer your opinions crowd-sourced.

Your opinion seems massively in the minority...
