It is indeed!
My wife just asked me if the veterans on the stage were the only ones still left and WW2 was the only thing being remembered, I don't think she has quite realised just how long ago WW1 was.

Forget the “big stars”. The musicians on the stage - the military band, the choir - are absolute pros.

There’s a lot of numbers to learn, no room for error, and likely very limited rehearsal time.

It's normally let down by the professional signers.
The other year I was there they used the footage from the afternoon performances as the professionals were shockingly bad.
Wasn't anle to make it this year, but will be at my local service in the morning then on to london for the service ar the cenotaph on Monday morning

A friend of mine provides the spectacular release of mass
poppies from the ‘ceiling’ each year.

Adrian Lester was excellent as a link should be considered as replacement for H.E .

The service even though edited ,was correct in tone , concentrating on , remembering , as ever it always brings me to tears ,remembering what my father witnessed when he had to deal with repatriating POWs in the far east
