Have been really looking forward to this after listening to Marina Hyde talking about it. Sounded fascinating where it's a comedy about the making of a superhero movie which is a offshoot of a superhero franchise. Essentially it's a direct Armando Iannucci satirical shot at Marvel films.
Loved his take on The Thick of It, Veep but this swipe at Hollywood so far is a bummer. It might be of interest to those who are nerds and deeply interested in how movies are made. But a comedy that isn't funny, nope.
Episodes with Matt le Blanc, Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan had a great swipe at all the Hollywood ballocks. But this, going to give it one more episode but this is a waste of Jessica Hynes, Lolly Adefope, Richard E Grant and Himish Patel. All of whom turn in great individual performances but the whole thing just sucks with the only occasional spark.
I'm sure film nerds will say this is a heathen's view, sorry but it's really not that good while depicting the making of a movie that everyone in the crew and cast know it will be no good. Which is ironic.
