Women's sanitary stuff adverts
Discussion
Of late, I've noticed a real increase in the graphic nature of these adverts.
First they stated appearing on You Tube but are now on main stream TV. Gone are the days of women rolling around on skates and with demo of blue colored water. Oh no, now they are graph and use words such as 'sticky discharge' and 'odor.'
There is even a 'Flow Forecast' using the word 'heavy downpour'
But why?? why have they changed to be so graphic and indepth.

Once you live with one, no advert is going to seem graphic.
Watching afternoon TV in the rain here, wife and I count four types of adverts . Funeral plans, women's sanitary products, mens irrectile disfunction treatment and life insurance. I think this covers life fully.
Editing my own post there is another frequently shown advert for pads to absorb urine , whilst gardening or laughing, or both.
We are quite pleased we only scored three of the possible five .

The guidelines on what's acceptable and not changes constantly. OfCom control this and the changes aren't abstract but the result of periodic research amongst the general public.
You might have noticed that nappy and bog roll ads now quite openly refer to 'poo' and 'bums' and even actually going to the loo. Previously, you could only infer these things.
