Has anyone else watched it, what did you think?

Finally! A series that looks at the life and times of the legendary creator of the billion dollar juggernaut wrestling company, WWE.

There have been so many brilliant documentaries created by the company about their stars, but none about the guy who created it all.

I loved this documentary for finally allowing us to hear more from the man himself, but also disappointed because it fell into the trap of honing in on all the sensationalist elements of his life, much like a tabloid would do.

There was little of him talking about his family outside of the business sense, or his grandkids for example, nor recognition of the enormous work the company does for children’s charities, all the good stuff he did along the way.

So I’d say the account was balanced initially about the business growth but then weighted to the negative elements of his persona for the last few episodes.

There can be no denying Vince McMahon’s legacy is as questionable as it is enormous and influential, but the documentary didn’t give us that balance entirely.

But regardless I thought it was a great watch. If you are a fan of WWE now, or grew up with it as a kid, it’s fantastic viewing.

10/10 for subject matter.

6/10 for execution.

It is very very good. Honing in on family life and grandkids doesn’t make great TV. He has certainly had a colourful life, and the industry he created is huge, quite amazing seeing here it came from.

Was it an actual documentary or lots of 'tiny bits of interview with a talking head', then 2 minutes of footage, repeat talking head, repeat footage.

Netflix docs tend to be similar, feels massively watered down.

It was mainly an interview directly with Vince, accentuated with other wrestlers or those directly involved giving their take on that particular subject, interspersed with footage of relevance.

Mostly listening to Vince, so was very insightful.
