He was positively Churchillian compared to the current and recent lot.

He set up the Good Friday agreement for Blair to steam in and take the credit.

That I do agree with it and it’s usually forgotten.

Can’t think of any other achievement (although that is a significant one).

I wouldn't class him as exceptional in any way. Vaguely competent in a dull sort of way, perhaps.

Things have just been such a circus over the last few decades that it automatically seems positively grand in comparison.

I really the enjoy ‘Amol Rajan, interviews’ liking his style of questioning, content and tenacity.
