Have a penchant for getting into entire TV series on the binge at the moment. Currently on S5 of Game of Thrones and enjoying the continuity of watching every night. When I finish (in God knows when) is the Walking Dead a good binge watch? I enjoyed the Korean arty cinematic zombie thing Kingdom, but the average stumbling-zombie-killers just doesn't do anything.

Thank you fellow bingers.

I love a good zombie film/show, but I gave up on walking dead after 2 seasons. Slow, boring, annoying characters.

depends if you need to finish it..............

I gave up (on season 8) as did most people at some point

that said I really really enjoyed the early seasons before they run out of ideas, there not shy of killing a main character so it' was good watch

After about 4 or 5 SERIES, it simply becomes the same story repeated. The group moves along, encounters more baddies. Moves along, encounters more baddies etc.....

As per the other posters, it starts really well but after a few seasons becomes very much rinse and repeat. The problem is for a lot of people (like me), they became too invested and had to keep watching to see how things turned out.

I think after season 3 or 4 is where you start to realise the repetition kicks in, but by that point you might want to keep watching to see how things pan out. The end of season 8 is probably the best cut off if you don't want to watch it through to the end.

I stopped watching at the end of S10 - picked it up again recently and binge watched the rest.

Very underwhelming ending to the series, predictable and weak.

Still some good characters, Eugene, Negan with some funny dialogue and Daryl being Daryl but also slightly cringe in parts with the kids being heroic in one episode.

Should really have saved my time and just read a synopsis, the finale was really a let down.

That said, I have just finished "those who live", and enjoyed it, some good scenes although Lesley- Anne Brandt was hard to understand sometimes with her SA accent, I really liked her in Lucifer as well, and she had a good part to play in this series. There were also some decent action scenes and a return of Jadis which was a bit of a surprise.
Danai Gurira was brilliant as Michonne, and I think she directed one or two episodes as well as acted in them. It's easy to watch, not really that heavy apart from a few scenes and overall for a 1 season, 6 episode series, it won't be too much of a waste of time if you don't like it.

Thanks for your input everyone. I think the general message is the early seasons are generally well regarded (with the odd exception smile) so I'll give S01 a try. Thanks again!
