Surprised that there is no mention of this really rather good drama mini series. Just watched all 4 episodes in quick succession. Very good acting by all the main actors. Suspect that there will be a couple of BAFTAs in due course.
Cast: Hugh Bonneville · Douglas Bellowes ; Karen Gillan · Madeline ; Alex Kingston · Sheila ; Nick Ben Miles · Toby.

Setting aside all the other themes going on the Ben Miles vs Karen Gillan hotel room episode was probably the stand out.

I didn’t think it was that good tbh. Kinda felt a bit rushed.

Superbly acted, and very cleverly written.

Not sure I would be comfortable watching anything with that slime ball Bonneville in it after the stories around alleged injunctions to hide an alleged affair.

Terrific stuff . I was pleased to see that KG was getting some work as I assumed she'd struggled since her Dr Who days . Then I read an interview wit her in the Times ... apparently she has made more than Julia Roberts already , but in the sort of films I'd only watch at gunpoint.

Anyway, a great performance from KG and HB in a very well written and directed series. I nearly said 'play' as it would work very well on stage.

She was in both Jumanji films, and was very good value, IMO.

1stepisode, fairly frenetic, difficult to keep pace with.

2nd episode, a slow burn, complete change of pace.

3rd episode, didn’t expect it to go in that direction.

Watching the final episode tonight, I have no idea where this is going.

Great cast, good acting and a well written script, will see how it pans out. Recommended.

Watched this and thought it was brilliant. Great performances all round, even Karen Gillan who I've never been that fond of, and Alex Kington who I can't stand (every time I heard 'hello sweetie' in Doctor Who, I felt like throwing a brick at the telly).

Loved the way it started off looking like a daft comedy, then turned really dark part way through. Greatly enjoyed trying to work out whether the GK character was on his side or not. I won't say any more, don't want to spoil it.

And the stroppy teenage daughter was a gem.

is that some sort of code or other world language?
