Daryll Dixon : The Book Of Carol?
Discussion
Maybe my eyesight is going (or this was on a long time ago and I missed it?), but I'm surprised to see no references (I can find) to the latest TWD spin off about Daryl (excuse the typo in the thread title).
Always one of the better characters in the series, he's washed up in France (we gradually find out why and how) and gets involved with various communities there.
A nice antidote to those who found later series of TWD turgidly slow, this is quite pacey (at least across the 3 - of 6 - episodes I've watched so far).
So, is anyone else watching it or was it on 3 years ago and I never heard about it?

Just binged it on Now and really enjoyed it. Made you realise that when TWD universe is good, it is very very good and shows how poor the latter seasons were. I thought Daryl Dixon series was very similar to the first season of TWD in terms of pacing and hooking you into the characters, looking forward to season 2 and they've confirmed season 3 too!
I wasn't that impressed with the Rick and Michonne spin-off, a bit slow in places and some huge logic jumps. I've yet to see Dead City but that is coming to Now very soon.

Good news on more series of Daryl.I wasn't that impressed with the Rick and Michonne spin-off, a bit slow in places and some huge logic jumps. I've yet to see Dead City but that is coming to Now very soon.
I found the Rick/Michonne series very slow at times, but at least they brought it to a proper conclusion - Something most American TV series seem adverse to doing.

A mate told me about Dead City, I had no idea. The idea of Negan and Maggie storyline appeals a lot.I wasn't that impressed with the Rick and Michonne spin-off, a bit slow in places and some huge logic jumps. I've yet to see Dead City but that is coming to Now very soon.
I've just watched the final season of TWD again on SKY, hoping that a second time around it would be less disappointing. It wasn't. A sadly predictable story line re the large community just seemed to be a rinse and repeat of what the central characters always do.
Anyway this evening I'm about to start the new Daryl Dixon series alongside "those who live".
season 3 trailer out already, seems they are still in France but they where heading for England through the chunnel in the final episode?

I'm amazed they still find stories to chase with TWD, I bailed several seasons back and struggled to get back into it and instead started to follow the FTWD offshoots for a bit... is there a decent resource out there that can potentially bring you up to speed as to what happened in the various timelines/offshoots?
