Watched Episode One last night and into the second today. A compelling watch.

My Mum was asking me why the Serbian football team has so many racist fans and why don't they have any black players.
I pointed out that the reason is countries like that didn't partake in the African slave trade or exploit countries via colonialism, so therefore ironically they aren't 'diverse' thus meaning many of the population grow up being unaware of black people etc, certainly not living around them.
Which can lead to racist outlooks for sure.
So basically, whether i agree with the African slave trade or even colonialism (i don't BTW), Its a cold hard fact that without it, if you took a time machine and stopped it ever happening..... a huge amount of people would not exist..... make of that what you will.
To celebrate our English footballers who are black (which i do), is to celebrate colonialism.
As a father of mix race kids and knowing my father in law thus my wife and kids only exist because of colonialism is an eye opener.
Its the problem with history, we are where we are because of it, how ever horrible it can be...
I know Jewish people in the UK who only exist because of Hitler forcing previous generations out.
Israel exists because of Hitler...... scary history is... that's why to go back and change any of it can wipe billions of people out......
