Standard template with your typical female lead detective with a teenage daughter solving crime in the area she grew up in. I'm halfway though the 4 episodes and it's better than I thought mainly down to the lovely Jenna Coleman.

Just finished watching and enjoyed it, a lot better than the usual fare and as you say she is very nice on the eye.

Careful as I’m watching it the old fashioned way smile

I’ve always had a thing for Amelia Bullmore.

I watched the first ep on Monday night, then binged the rest this afternoon. Very good, especially given the subject matter both in the fore/backgound and also with the way it jumped between current day / 17 years ago to align things and certainly left you changing your mind a number of times over who was "guilty" of what before giving you the ending.

Very good watch.

We found the whole thing too unbelievable to watch more than one episode. All that sarcasm directed at the victim of the arson attack and as per 'The Responder', police officers seemingly making up what they do all day, every day, on the hoof.

The over-stylised moody lighting and jarring audio FX throughout killed it for me as soon as I’d noticed them - which didn’t take long. Even police station corridors are half-lit and echo like the halls of Valhalla…

A director more focussed on winning industry awards than on storytelling…?

I'm also enjoying watching it the old fashioned way - pretty good so far.

And I've always had a thing for Anna Wilson Jones... wink

We're two episodes in and finding the plot to be all over the place.

We got to the third episode before realising the scenes with the teenage girls were in the past

I think it would have been much much better if the ending had been fade to black after she was choked

Worth a watch, anyway

We finished this last night too , was ok , not great but not bad.

As above it took us till episode 3 to understand what was what too.

I do find Jenna Coleman very attractive bit unconvincing as a police officer .

The last episode for me too, why didn’t they make it clearer? Daft series.
