So the first trailer for this dropped yesterday. I've been following it's development as it's from the same team behind Batman: The Animated Series which was a large part of my childhood (and gave us Mask of the Phantasm) however I've been a little sceptical however the trailer looks excellent and Hamish Linklater seems to be doing an excellent Kevin Conroy.

I loved Invincible. What else would you recommend?

I am looking forward to this. Has a blend of Arkham (game series), Animated Series, and Batman Beyond vibe to it.

Invincible is brutal and very enjoyable

Vox Machina is my absalute favorite, being a critical role fan. Its kinda dead pool meets dungeons and dragons, the first 5 mins sets the tone, very rich characters, great story (its based on a live campaign they did) and a lot of cocking about

The boys diabolical

hazbin hotel is also highly rated

lower decks has a dedicated fan base

This was actually developed for HBO Max but they canned it, it was about to become another tax write off before Amazon rescued it.

Couldn't agree more though, Amazon have a really strong adult animated line up and this fits in well with their existing content.

Thanks. I've seen Diabolical. Will give Vox Machina a go next.

Just revisiting this as it dropped last week. Reviews of the series seem to have been almost universally glowing which is brilliant, I've only managed to watch the first episode so far but I must say it was both nostalgic in the sense that it felt so much like the original TAS and also a bit more edgy, grown up almost. Felt like a cross between TAS and The Batman with it's noir style (makes sense given Bruce Timms and Matt Reeves are behind it I guess!).

I did have my doubts about Linklater as Batman when I first heard him but I've totally changed my mind, he's brilliant. As close to Kevin Conroy without doing a direct rip off of him as you can get.

Need to get a few more episodes in but I really like what I've seen so far.

I've watched a few epi's and quite enjoyed it - I do love the noirish feel to it
