Other than the car chase scene (which I can watch on YouTube), is the rest of the film worth watching?

It's a dull film with a good scene.

The Getaway is better IMO. Never understood why Bullitt is lauded so.

It's no masterpiece but I certainly think the whole thing is worth watching.

Fun Fact - Dirty Harry Callaghan & Frank Bullitt are both based on the same S.F detective Dave Toschi who did actually hunt the Zodiac Killer which is essentially the first D.H film.

For those who find Bullitt a dull movie I can't help asking, what do you consider a good movie?

Presumably not Vanishing Point.

Bullitt is widely considered a classic, scoring 98% on Rotten Tomatoes for reviews and 85% on audience rating. That doesn't mean everyone has to like it though.

I think it’s worth watching. A bit slow at times but a decent plot

Definitely worth watching.

Similarly The Driver (Ryan O Neil) (on tomorrow eve on Legend) and Dirty Mary Crazy Larry easy to critisise but always enjoyable of its era and definitely worth a watch when aired on Freeview imo.

Don't watch the original Gone in 60 Seconds then.

Seconded (or possibly thirded). You've got Steve McQueen and Robert Vaughn, really good actors but I think the money was spent hiring them and on the car chase. The rest of it is like an ordinary 40 minute police procedural (or 50 back then) padded out to more than 100.

You might be better to watch the chase on Youtube.

Ok film but worth it for the car chase and (even more IMO) the fantastic Lalo Schifrin score.

I thought it dull but then I find most films of this era very slow paced and uninspiring.

In the same year, The Thomas Crowne Affair was better but I still prefer the remake with Pierce Brosnan.

I also liked Rosemary's Baby, and 2001 had its moments.

Correct, it's a tiny, tiny sample. In fact I'll bet very few on here even look at RT.
