You had me at "I certainly hope". smile

I shall await the reviews with interest - just in case the best bits are in the trailer!

Let's hope not.

Comes out very soon.

Dua Lipa is top of my Mrs UTH approved "list" haha.

But, when I see a pop star featuring in a film, I immediately assume the film is going to be st.

Your campaign to get people to watch Mr Right was successful, what a great fun way to pass a couple of hours.
A hitman, cartel, action fest rom com, sounds shyte was really enjoyable.

The press reviews are in.

They are...not great.

Haven't seen anyone give it more than one star, and some of those seem to be only because the publication doesn't do zero stars.

Nope, and I was looking forward to it as I like the book, and Vaughn's stuff both as director and producer has many more hits than misses.

But I think I will hold off and see if the public reviews are as savage as the critics'.

Yeah, savage reviews across the board.

It'll be on Apple TV in a few week I suppose, i'll give it a go.

We're going to see it this weekend. It's a 12 (suitable for offspring) and it's got action in it - when was the last one of them? I love going to the cinema but there's been so little of interest lately.

From the YouTube reviews it sounds like simple daft fun. I think the 'formal' reviewers are being snobs.

Whilst I'll read/ listen to film reviews they are pretty pointless. You might as well be arguing over your favourite colour.
This is my type of escapism action adventure stuff. Even if the script is poor or the acting wooden, for me as long as I feel the cast had a good time making it, I think that shines through and makes it time well spent.

For example, I didn't get the poor reviews for the latest Mission Impossible film. I really believe TC loves doing it and to me it looked like he, and the rest of the cast, were having a blast and I'm happy to pay the paltry cinema fees (generally under a tenner post-Covid) to see him do it.

I'll be there with knobs on.

Remember when Olympus Had Fallen came out? White House Down was released at the same sort of time. Similar premise.
I haven’t seen the Lost City with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, but it looked, from the trailers, very similar to this.
