Gareth Edwards' sci-fi action film starring John David Washington (Denzel's son) opens on 29th September. Early reviews for it are pretty amazing!

Here's a few:

Though it pulls from identifiable inspirations, #TheCreator is 1 of the best original sci-fi epics in years. Massively entertaining, enthralling & profound on every level. Gareth Edwards constructs an immersive world & fills it with compelling characters. Absolutely radical.

PHENOMENAL. If you want a cinematographer on the rise to keep your eye on, it’s Oren Soffer. This movie is one stunning frame after the next.

The soulfulness and spirituality of Gareth Edwards’ #TheCreator make every go-for-broke action set piece, every genuinely dazzling visual effect (by @ILMVFX and others), every gritty chase sequence resonate that much more. Beautifully designed and shot and richly rewarding. Go.

TheCreator is a massive feat for the sci-fi genre and the all-too-rare original blockbuster.

It's the culmination of Gareth Edwards' career so far, and it's the ultimate version of the type of movie he's been making since 2010's 'Monsters.'

More of this, please.

Thought provoking, full of heart and stunning visuals with masterful world building! #TheCreator is a true sci-fi epic and Madeleine Yuna Voyles is an absolute star!

TheCreator is a masterpiece & one of the year's best movies. It hits on so many levels with AI being such a hot topic. Gareth Edwards does a masterful job of keeping the audience engaged every step of the way. Madeleine Yuna Voyles has to be in the conversations for The Oscars.

I’m so impressed with what #GarethEdwards pulled off on #thecreator. He’s made an original sci-fi movie in a time where making original movies on this scale is next to impossible and the film delivers on so many levels. Seek this one out and absolutely see it in a movie theater.

So that's me intrigued to say the least.

Roll on the 29th Setember!

I take zero notice of film reviewers now after some the nonsense reviews from the past few years. From the trailer this looks like a generic seen it all before film made up of clips from numerous other sci-fi movies, I hope to be proven wrong.

Congratulations, you managed not to say a single word about what the film is about!
What the hell is the point of telling us about something if you don’t actually tell us what it’s about?!

Looks good!

‘As a future war between the human race and artificial intelligence rages on, ex-special forces agent Joshua is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI. The Creator has developed a mysterious weapon that has the power to end the war and all of mankind.

Yeah, I have some sympathy with your first sentence (in bold) but not the rest of your post. I think the trailer looks great.

I was excited from the very first trailer, gave me the same feeling as when I saw the first trailer for Dune. Looks like it'll be very good, Gareth Edwards is right up there in my opinion when it comes to world building. A score by Hans Zimmer as well, can't wait.

Will hopefully make up for my disappointment at Dune part 2 getting pushed.

I wasn’t the one trying to tell/encourage ppl to see a film.

Nor was I...I couldn't give two hoots whether you go to see it or not, I was relaying the reviews for it so far. I'll be going.

Miles Bernard Dyson was killed in 1991.

Yep, they can have my money when it comes out.

Loved the IMAX trailer before MI:7, loved the music to accompany it; and I'm pretty certain when the mad rush to see it dissipates, I'll love the movie too.

Then it's a short wait for my MI:7 4K disc to turn up.

What a year it's been, and there's still three months remaining to cram in a little bit more.

Sheesh spin

Saw this last night and loved it!

Good story, fabulous cinematography, great effects and some pretty cool ideas too.

Would definitely recommend.

Not seen this yet, but likely next weekend.
What Gareth Edwards did on monsters with basically no crew blew me away at the time and he did the best of the bunch of the new star wars films (imo), so really looking forward to this one.

Saw it yesterday and yes it’s an excellent film.

The rave reviews seem a bit over the top to me. It’s a good sci-fi film but I hesitate to call it a future classic.

Ralph Ineson's American accent is so low frequency it could cause involuntary bowel movements!

Saw a trailer for this and it looks like the usual old rubbish to me.

Perhaps one day, people will realise that wall-to-wall CGI and explosions are no substitute for acting and a plot. But I have not high hopes.

There is quite a bit of plot and the CGI isn't as in your face as in say a Star Wars film or Avatar.

Having said that it's humans vs simulants and robots set in the future... what are you expecting to see laugh

Am umm-ing and ah-ing.

2023 has been a bit lacklustre and currently lots of reviews on imdb are saying this one is great looking for the budget but otherwise (originality, character arcs, emotional connection) a bit lacking -

Well exactly that I suppose, I just prefer my viewing to have a bit more connection with reality that's all
