Wallace and Gromit
Discussion
Just watched this again for the umpteenth time, every time I notice more of the subtle jokes it contains.
Just so, so clever and they deserve all the awards they get.
As an example, the baddie is the dog in the aeroplane, a red one, say no more.
Books on display read the titles, very clever.
They must have fun at Ardman thinking all these things up.
More please ardman

Same. I’m a big fan of Aardman. Still love the penguin chicken baddie in Wrong Trousers and the feature length Curse of the Were-Rabbit lol.
Looking forward to seeing how they do with Chicken Run 2 on Netflix when it drops in December.
We’re British damn it. It doesn’t “drop”. it gets released. To be dropped is something entirely different Looking forward to seeing how they do with Chicken Run 2 on Netflix when it drops in December.

Lots of little funnies
"then just take a look at my wife's brassicas" !
My son was seriously ill in Bristol Children's Hospital a few years back and my initial reaction was that the place runs on Aardman.
There's a statue on the way in, Aardman posters in the lobby and the lift voices are Wallace, " Mind Your Paws Lad! "
Under the rather anxious circumstances, it was a brilliant way to add a bit of levity to the situation.
It never got old, even after eight months.
I have great affection for it.

Wow - amazing that so many years on and W&G are still being appreciated.
I have very fond memories of seeing it for the first time.
I'd just moved into my first house and had only recently taken delivery of my 26" B&O TV back when B&O was something special.
I saw the trailers for it on BBC and thought - that is a must watch.
Christmas was always spent with my parents but I made my excuses to get back.
What a treat.
This year, we can look forward to this https://youtu.be/icfv_T5pkdI?si=XhsUx11xChyZzzwb
This looks altogether more polished but I doubt it will be better than the early Aardman stuff.
I guess everyone has their favourite but for me - The Wrong Trousers was the peak.
Sean the Sheep series the low from the genre but I guess you can't blame them for trying to milk it.

I'm also a huge fan of their work, quick little story I once bought a MK2 Golf GTI from an Aardman employee, I collected the car from near Thornbury on the outskirts of Bristol.
The golf was parked around the back of a very bland looking building. However as the chap took me through the door I was amazed to see a huge selection of Wallace and Gromit models, the sets for a close shave and the Curse of the Were rabbit(had not been released yet) The Austin a35 van parked in the corner which was later put up for auction raising money for the Wallace &Gromit charity.
We spent so long talking about stop/go animation and working with clay that buying the Golf felt like the least exciting part of the day!!
