Due for release in December, a new Big G film from Toho (the original Japanese studio). Looks promising:

Yep, looking forward to this.
Godzilla is also in the new Apple TV series Which looks great as well: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, here's a synopsis....
"Apple TV+ has revealed the first teaser trailer for their upcoming series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which continues exploring the Titans featured in Legendary's Monsterverse films, those colossal monsters that include Godzilla and King Kong, and Monarch, the shadowy organization that tracks them."
Catch the trailer on You Tube if you can.

Kind of cute the way KK has been hijacked by the Godzilla market. I always thought of KK as a 'serious' (ie non comic book) monster. I assume whoever produces these things did a deal a number of years ago to allow KK to feature in this stuff. Kong vs Godzilla was stupid but fun though.Godzilla is also in the new Apple TV series Which looks great as well: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, here's a synopsis....

Saw it yesterday too, and it is really good. All the reviews I've seen are good too. Apparently it cost $15m to produce and it's at $60m box office now. When a superhero CGIfest movie costs over 10 times that budget these days, it looks even better. 10 munched train carriages/10 telegrams.
- With exchange rates etc the actual budget may be around $20-25m, still brilliant though.

Enjoyed this a lot. Appropriate amounts of nonsense and destruction, no fluffy friendly monster, a good human story of dishonour and defeat and PTSD leading to redemption and honour... Hollywood could never have made this.
I have also been watching the tv show (legacy of monsters) where similar themes are also explored, just nowhere near as effectively.A real stark contrast between the two.
Saw it last night and it was excellent. My GF, who had zero interest in seeing it also loved it which is a ringing endorsement. A genuinely brilliant, human story that avoids all the usual tropes you'd expect to see in American cinema. I loved the way it gave us a beautiful redemption story whilst also delicately handling the issues of PTSD, a country coming to terms with it's past, honour, all that good stuff.
Can't believe it was done on such a small budget, it was a perfect mix of traditional Godzilla and more modern film making to bring the monster to life. Probably the most intimidating version of Godzilla I've seen in a long time and used sparingly to perfection as well.
I saw the trailer for the B&W version last night and I'll be honest it looks beautiful, dare I say it looks even better than the colour version?
Only downside was I kept waiting for the bass drop everytime they played the Godzilla theme

Saw it in IMAX on Tuesday.
loved it, how Godzilla should be done.
Gareth Edwards came close but hid Godzilla a bit too much in the first half and his monster wasn't as good visually.
The original music was a brilliant touch. Yes some of the CGI was a bit poor but it didn't distract you that much.
As a fan since the 80's I fully approve.

Has anyone seen Shin Godzilla? I hear that's just as good as Minus One, having watched the trailer for it I'm not convinced and just wondering if it's worth picking up.
For anyone looking for something Godzilla-related that's also into animated features I can recommend the Netflix "series" of films they did. Weirdly they all show up unrelated but you have Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle and Godzilla: The Planet Eater. The reviews on IMDB are a bit all over the place and I was surprised to see them so low, it's probably the largest-scale Godzilla feature you'll see due to the animated aspect allowing them to go wild.
