Thanks for the heads up, that sounds interesting. A 2 parter it appears according to my EPG.

I can't see him coping with daily life without getting drawn in to trouble despite being 68 - if he gets triggered I would t want to be nearby.

I thought the 'son' (publicist and papparazi) came over as a proper chancer. Despite also being fame hungry the outcome for the second wife in topping herself was sad.

The story of his second wife was indeed sad. The story of his son's childhood was hard to hear as well.

Anyway, with regards parole it's ultimately now a government decision by the look of it.

Bronson seemed to relay stories of his past with a sense of real pride & total lack of remorse. I suspect that will keep him inside.

Watched both episodes and just cannot imagine him in normal everyday life unless he's isolated somewhere quiet.

Things like being beeped at if you don't immediately drive away on a green light (normal in London) piss me off, so can imagine something equally trivial having a somewhat more serious outcome if it happened to Bronson. hehe

Hard to imagine all that prison time and all that solitary.

Me and the wife watched this last night, she is particaularly interested as she teaches Criminology. We were both left completely undecided; on one hand the guys served far more time than relates to the crimes he's commited. However, on the other hand going from solitary to being out in the open world with absolutely no help of integration is a frightening prospect.

IMO the first stage should be to move him to an open prison for a year gradually introducing time in the outside world and heavily monitor him. A part of me feels sorry for him because I can't imagine anyone reacting well to his situation. The fact that he hasn't shown any violence in the past 10 years should be a factor but whether it will be considered I have no idea. I imagine prison is red rag to a bull if you have a violent personaility - especially when he has such a reputation.

Thing is I dont think hell do well in an open prison either, people will provoke him to make a name for themselves.

I think he deserves a chance of freedom. Make it clear to him that it is his one and only chance and see what happens. If he does break his parole it will be for something stupid and minor.
The whole story about his son is all made up between the 2 of them as well.

He should live with a member of the parole board for a year.

By chance (perhaps) there's new doc on BBC about parole. I've only seen the first one which had as it's subjects a fella with a very violent past and another who was a serial conman, talking women into giving him money. The former was released and the latter wasn't. I must say I really did see why that was; I could see some logic in why the violent guy might change his ways but I'd not trust the fraudster as far as I could throw him. By the way, I do see the argument that possible re-offending would probably have more serious consequences in the case of violent crime.

I got round to watching episode 1 last night, when they were doing the drone footage above Woodhill I could see my house. Quite weird really.

This parole hearing is a total waste of time and money, he’s not repentant at all.

I had an FPV drone and itbis really weird flying about then flying towards yourself - it’s like an out of body experience and returning to your body.

Having watched both parts of the documentary I'd be astonished if he's let out.
