The woman whob fell/pushed is the actress from Ashes To Ashes who played the WDC
And the ending of this had a bit of a punch

Not sure about the way they show him working things out, but I suppose they had to change from collecting everyone in a room that they did in the Caribbean.

Back to back with Death in Paradise I thought it showed how stale the latter has become.

Also, I feel it strange scheduling from the BBC, but I’ve had no faith for quite a while that they know what they’re doing.

Liked the way they worked things out, a few light hearted laughs, a few proper belly laughs (the farts at dinner!), wonderful scenery and nothing too taxing. What’s not to like?

Tha "lame fart jokes", according to The Grauniad, who were less than impressed.
That may indicate a good show

I was less impressed. Felt a bit cheap to me. I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, I will give it another go next week and see if it improves.

Losing the baby was a bit unnecessary. It's pretty much a comedy not a gritty drama.

Agree with all the previous comments - Doc Martin vibe, beautifully shot, etc.

I'm less happy about the slightly different way they did the reveal without the suspects present - I felt slightly short-changed that we didn't get to see the exact moment the repugnant prospective MP got busted.

Also agree with the comment that the miscarriage felt a little dark for the show. But clearly there is going to be a big sub-storyline running through the series regarding Humphry and Marthas relationship, and Martha re-aquainting herself with former school friends and old flames from her home town.
