You don't have to dig too far into his background to see what is behind the public persona. Lots of red pill, betas,Tate guff in his socials appealing to a certain fragile masculinity demographic and a fair bit of the YT content is presented to imply a level of risk that doesn't exist. But he's found a lucrative seam lifting a lid on parts of the world most of us never see, so good luck to him.

I'm ashamed to say I was once a subscriber to bald, but after a while I did a bit of digging around on the web and found out some unsavoury stuff about him and Harald. It's still mostly all out there if you're prepared to put in the effort!

There's certainly no doubting how dangerous that was...pretty incredible footage really.

The Darien gap is a pretty amazing anomaly. Regardless of expense and 'environmental issues', you'd think that there'd be enormous pressure to build road/rail links through there (rail, at least) given the possible economic benefits.

The governments of Panama and Columbia could make a tidy amount charging passage tolls .. it'd almost be a second Panama canal.

Anyway, must check out the video now. Saw it pop up in my suggestions.

The 3rd and final episode is out, ideally riding a train known as the beast through Mexico to the border with American.

Not as good as the 2nd episode but still a good watch, an absolutely brutal journey when you consider where he started and where he ended.

Absolutely some of the best (and eye opening) youtube there is fully stop. The kids having to do that journey really hit home.
I’ve read plenty of questionable things about him as a person (maybe earlier in life) but I can’t deny he makes some fantastic videos.

Did he ever find the Fine White Wine Man ? I watched his videos for a while but can't get on with him. He's a bit dull and wooden and lacks the charisma that Mr. Bald has. Bald has that special gift where no matter how sketchy the situation, he'll put people at ease and have them warm towards him - the gift of the gab, as the saying goes.

His best travel companion was undeniably ALINCHIK ! A mighty fine pair of pins and arse and was mostly unfazed by his silliness but I think she eventually cottoned on that he was only using her for clickbait to double his income from the extra views fit girls in vids always do, and she binned him off.

I really enjoyed his Darien jungle 3-parter (+ Q&A follow-up). Better than anything else on mainstream telly. Not a fan of Timmy at all, and definitely not that annoying Backpacker Ben kid who is boring asf.
