BBC have quietly snuck out a 7 part documentary on Muhammad Ali. Its available on Sky to download, assume its also on iPlayer.

It's very good. Narration over historical footage interspersed with talking heads.

I'm not a massive boxing fan but always been in awe of Ali.

Its worth a watch

Yes, excellent, if your a fan you won't find anything new but Ken Burns is an excellent filmmaker and I have been looking forward to this long awaited film.

So I've just watched Ep7. The whole thing has been brilliant but is that it. It seemed to end abruptly but there is no indication that there is anything more to follow, and no further episodes available.

Yeah initially there was one episode then suddenly there was 7. Wondering if there is more to come.

Watched the first one and really enjoyed it, some great old footage.

Mrs. worked on reception at Capital Radio in the early '80s and met him when he came in for an interview one day. He did that punch touch thing with her on the side of her face, and she said he was a fantastic person. smile

A far cry from Diana Ross who was the complete opposite when she came in. hehe

Well having seen Diana Ross take that penalty in the USA 1994 WC opening ceremony, I certainly wouldn't trust her to do the punch touch thing on my face. Woman's a sporting menace.

As a child growing up in the UK in the 60's I wasn't aware of the dislike for Cassius in America.
I knew he'd turned to Islam but it comes across like he was brainwashed to me,or is that just the way the tv show portrays it.
It's obvious he was a very intelligent man
