New Marvel show starts today with Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke.

First episode was ok, Oscar sounds and acts like he's Ricky Gervais.

I know nothing of the character from before, but he seems interesting.

5.5/10 but hoping it gets better as we go along as the pilot wasn't giving much away.

As he has a dissociative identity disorder, I guess you would say Stevens accent is a put on and when his other identity Marc shows up, he talks with his normal voice as Marc is the original identity.

Though I've heard of Moon Knight, he's not a character I know. Quite slow, got better towards the end, interesting, could be good. I think it'll take a while to get going.

I really enjoyed it - I'd never heard of the IP before so it makes a refreshing change.

The car chase cgi though... Bloody hell that was awful. It's like effects house sent them the early draft rather than the finished item. It was truly shocking.

There's a hint of Venom about it, the accents are annoying and the car chase was pathetic.

Have to agree with someone else's post that the voice he hears reminds me of Venom

Decent 2nd episode, we get to find out a bit more about the characters and where the story is heading.
The suit scene was quite funny.

I believe Tom did the voice for Venom as well.

First episode tweaked my interest despite not really doing or showing much.

Second episode is good though and as above finally seeing the suit and moon knight in full swing was great. Ethan hawke plays the bad guy very well too

It’s turgid slow just like all the other Disney Marvel shows. They don’t seem able to master using a longer run time to tell a more interesting, complex story. It’s like they aren’t editing the episodes and leaving too much filler in place to pad the run time out.

I haven’t liked a Marvel movie since Endgame. Black Widow and Shang Chi were both sub par and as I see Ms Marvel is clearly not aimed at middle aged men, I shall save myself the pain of watching it at all.

Marvel are losing their way.

Agree highway, Black Widow was a truly awful movie, the Hawkeye series was OK, mainly because the actors are great, and this is OK, but I tire already of Isaac doing the whiney accent, just get to the storyline already, you have had nearly 2 damned hours!!

I think the split personality is it's weak point, especially talking to the other in a reflection. If it was either one, it would be much better. Still early days though.

Does anyone with better knowledge of the character have anything to say?

This is quite good. I was going to ignore it as I remember the dull poorly draw comic if originated from.
Maybe there was a better one put out later but I was grown up by then and not interested or aware of it.
