The former on ITV & the latter on Apple TV+

Joe Cole as Harry Palmer, Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb.
Hope they don't muck them up.

Finally going to have to get an Apple subscription now.
Bugger.

I have no idea in these woke times how they can make a good job of Jackson Lamb who is rude, racist, sexist, dirty, slovenly, condescending and generally awful.

I am a big fan of Jackson Lamb and his whole character is OTT.

I fear that the producers will produce some mildly eccentric character who never says an offensive thing beyond shouting and look scruffy.

Just watched Slow Horses s1, absolutely brilliant, Oldman is wonderfully seedy and obnoxious and the script is razor sharp. Loving it.

We've just binge-watched Slow Horses series 3 - even better than the first two if that's possible?
Without doubt one of the best things on TV in last few years - exciting and funny, with perfect casting, and just bloody good stories.
The show has had almost universally glowing reviews, and deservedly so.

'Slow Horses, season 3, review: so brilliant you'd be silly not to get an Apple TV+ subscription
It's clever, it's fun, it features a marvellously greasy Gary Oldman swearing at his MI5 colleagues – and it deserves a much bigger
audience' (The Telegraph)

100% agree with all that, the big shootout scene was a bit implausible but Oldman, Lowden and Scott-Thomas were all great in it.

I've seen the first two series, it's been great so far.

Binge-watched Slow Horses 1-3 over the last few weekends. The tension on the last two episodes of S3 is wonderful, three separate scenarios all intercut with humour, pathos and tragedy.

Need to wait until December 2024 for S4?!? furious

Well I tried to get enthused but failed. I've given up at S1 Ep5. I perservered but found the whole plot false, full of implausibilities and somewhat tongue in cheek. Getting the victim to fill the van up with fuel at the petrol station - Come on!

Yes Oldman as Lamb and his antics is refreshing but the work environment, regime and personalities is complete tosh.
