Anyone taken the plunge?? Seems to have some good points according to reviews I've seen, Good sound ,but appears to be quite a chunky bezel and not the thinnest unit.

The one thing that's a no no for me is no recording, just stream on demand . My internets not up for that, too slow even with fibre in my area>

Off topic (ish)

When I first saw the name Sky have picked I wondered if the glazing firms with that name thought it was good or bad (or neither) for business.

I don’t think it will be for you then - how do you think the live broadcast reaches you? Yep via your broadband. So you need a decent and reliable connection

I seen the Glass TV's in a shopping centre last week.

It was a chunky beast in terms of thickness and if you can't record to the box it is a massive no from me. It seems like a step backwards.

I will continue to leave my TV's to Sony and Sky for providing my content.

Lose all my existing SkyQ recordings - nope
Streaming only - nope
‘recordings’ in the cloud only kept for a year - nope
Payments basically finance on the hardware - nope
Very chunky and not exactly stylish tv - nope

I think Sky have got it wrong here for a lot of folks.

I guess their only real market is the blocks of flats that don’t allow dishes

Other than sports, I fail to see the relevance of sky (and virgin) TV services these days.
