On Disney channel, only one episode in but this has huge potential, looks like its going to be good. Looks at Americas opioid addictions from various perspectives, great cast.

I’m on ep 3 and it’s a great series.

Was quite shocked it’s a true story or at least “based on a non fiction book”

Onto this now. Loving it so far, just shows how corrupt big pharma are quite fitting at the moment!

I started this thread what seems like an age ago. It's really, really good. The best of the American pain killer 'expose' shows that I've watched, and there have been a few now...

Watched episodes 1&2 today. Has a similar ‘feel’ to Dr Death and The Dropout. Pretty impressed so far.

Quite a few things about the Sackler's now thankfully, i read 'empire of pain' about the Sackler's, the main guy started the empire in marketing, which tells you all you need to know about what is key to selling drugs...
He made up the 'chemical imbalance' thing (i have bi polar I'm not someone who claims mental illness isn't real, but chemical imbalance to flog drugs was is a lie, i do not take ANY, meds, alcohol or illegal drugs).

Problem now is they managed to cleverly make being anti pharma, far right and lump you in as an anti vaxxer mentalist racist Trump supporter if you dare to question it all...

If this show intrigues you google 'Pfizer Nigerian village'.
Pfizer those saviours a mankind..... of course...
Then google all the fines big pharma have got over the years for all sorts that would make Escobar blush...

One final thing in the business model they add in fines, for example sell a drug 'off label' make 2 billion, get fine of 15 million...... good business.... rinse repeat. And like with ofgem and energy corps, its a revolving door between the FDA and the pharma corps.....

But its far right ramblings of a mad man right................. if only it was....

There is also a series on Netflix called Painkiller that focuses on the Sacklers and is worth a look. Very unpleasant people.
