I did a search to see if it’s been mentioned already and couldn’t find one so it most definitely exists but..
Set 10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, he is now living under an assumed name in Upstate New York, far from his original home in Miami.
Starts on Sky November 8/11

He didn’t waste much time in going back to what he does best. Looks promising.

Maybe he can invent a time machine and redo the final series. What a shower of s**t that was!

Massive fan of Dexter until the last series!

It will be interesting to see how they play out over the series. Part of me would like it to end up with him being caught back in Miami.

It was absolutely awful

I cannot think of another series that had such highs and such lows.

Trinity killer was the best season for me. I never fully watched the final season because it was so bad and odd, I proxy found out about it via the wife.

New episode seemed promising - I forgot that some of the storytelling elements were simple and obvious and they carried that over to this new format. Some awful CGI though.

The white stag was dire. Plenty of tame ones around to photograph. Just don’t have to shoot it wink

I’m watching ‘You’ at the moment, which is basically the same programme. I don’t think I could watch them both concurrently!

Enjoyed it last night, felt so familiar but different - hiding in plain sight etc

The CGI was poor though, I knew exactly what was going to happen when he approached the stag though...

I rewatched the last series not that long ago simply as I knew this was coming, it was bad and still is... but seemed less so 2nd time around.

The ice pick and trinity killers were the standouts for me, John Lithgow played a great character.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think only season 1 and season 2 were truly great.

Season 1 was based heavily on the book and had Dexter most as an "anti-hero" with disturbing character traits.

Season 2 was also great with the whole investigation into the bay harbour butcher and Doakes was such a great character.

After that it started a slow downward slide. They increasingly tried to soften Dexter, his voice over narration became dumbed down and obvious, and the writing deteriorated.

Season 4 had a great acting performance from John Lithgow but the writing was already deteriorating.

He was in more than 3 episodes, the whole plot was about him, according to IMDB he was in 12 episodes

No problem. He could be flashbacks though like Jennifer Carpenter is.

Feels like old Dexter, and can see there is another psycho there. Still worth watching.

Been watching this, was never all that into the older ones as much as my wife but loving this. Think I like the change of scene to the snowy type.
