Thinking of giving this a try, the advert looked quite good..

I only have one episode left. It's not great, but not terrible, 6/10, maybe a bit more.

Guardian don’t seem that keen on it either, to be fair...

I have a great friend who’s son is the assistant set designer on this series and has been retained for another. Sam Sparks. He made all of the cannabis plants for the film The Gentleman!

Same here, liking it so far, it won't win Oscars but it's good escapist fun
Also I keep thinking the leading lady is Eva Green for some reason!

I really liked it. Ep. 6 knocked me sideways, but I went with it.

I really hope they get to finish making the rest of the first series...

And no matter Wheddon's problems, that last episode reaffirmed his world building ability. Will just have to hope the new show runners can follow through on it.

I can't make my mind up about this.

On the one hand, it has everything which should appeal to my tastes and I should love it.

On the other, it feels very disjointed at times and doesn't reach out and engage me. Penny Dreadful's less interesting cousin - talking s1, there, not s2.

And I can't have been the only person hitting the 'i' button 5 minutes into Ep.6 to check whether I'd inadvertently pressed play on a completely different show.

Will watch the second half of this series when it's released, but won't be counting down the sleeps until that day.

I rather enjoyed, it has that Joss Wheldon stamp that makes you believe that it will grow and expand. But, yes, when Episode 6 started I thought my finger had slipped on the remote!

It was very disjointed & could have been a lot better.

I really enjoyed it, the last episode had me checking and double checking I had the right programme. the dialogue lets down a lot of these series but this was good in that respect.

just started on this and am enjoying it (on the second episode) - I do agree though that it is somewhat disjointed
